About Cécile
I’m Cécile, a German-Dutch pianist, singer, and composer based in Amsterdam. My music blends classical roots with cinematic sound, jazz influences, and improvisation—a style shaped by years of performing, songwriting, and exploring different instruments.
I perform at a variety of venues including the Rosewood Hotel, the Van Gogh Museum, the Tolhuistuin, Westerkerk, Vondelkerk and Posthoornkerk. Next to this, I am the resident pianist for the Offline Club and enjoy giving their beautiful events a special touch of connecting with oneself in silence.
My work is inspired by artists such as Alexis Ffrench, Elijah Fox, Stephan Moccio, Justin Kauflin, Dustin O’Halloran, Austin Farwell, SYML and many more. My work is about crafting soundscapes that connect deeply with listeners.
“Playing the piano feels like time stands still — it’s when I can be most myself, without using words. It’s both therapy and an outlet for my emotions. Music isn’t only something internal; it’s also a way to connect people with their inner worlds. I’m most touched when my music can help opening a door to emotions that need to be felt, which my audience might not have been able to access on their own”.
